Americablog's frogmarch countup

Well, sort of counting. Points 3) and 3) are what I'm wondering about.

Perhaps he was so afraid of making King Arthur's mistake that he decided to use "3" twice just in case.

Wonder if this handgrenade will go off.

McClellan's responses at yesterday's press gaggle had about as much sense and at least as much repetition as a Monty Python sketch. And probably not everybody got the joke.

I gotta admit, it's fun to see him (and by extension, the WH) sweat like that. Even if there are no firings or prosecutions, this deal tarnishes the adminstration's plating a good bit more.

Although I have to say, I find Rove's account (via his lawyer) fairly plausible -- it's hard to believe the folks on the left who say that he was vindictively outing Plame, much easier to accept that he was just trying to discredit Wilson with the nepotism charge, quite possibly not realizing that he was divulging classified info.

Too murky for me to really speculate.

In any case, I suspect the law doesn't care whether he divulged classified info on purpose or incidentally while smearing Wilson for polical gain.

Granted. Although apparently it does care whether he had the clearance to know Plame's status himself or someone with that clearance leaked it to him. As I recall, back when the story first broke, Josh Marshall was pointing the finger at Scooter Libby. Should be interesting.
